About Us

Bill Tuszynski has over 30 years’ experience in the chemical industry. He had held a variety of technical and commercial roles with both large and small companies, most recently as a co-owner of Ivanhoe Industries, a privately-held chemical distributor. He is the sole or co-author on seven US Patents and a number of technical articles and presentations.

Over the years, Bill has working in the lubricants, personal care, coatings, polymers and petrochemical industries. He has managed R&D groups in product applications and new product development. Bill has commercialized new products used as lubricant additives, personal care ingredients, aids in oil & gas production and agricultural intermediates. He served as Managing Director for a $30M+ industrial business with P&L responsibility and management responsibility for sales and R&D teams.As an Ivanhoe partner, Bill was part of the management team that tripled company sales in a ten-year period through a combination of developing new customers and markets, product line extensions and new suppliers. While at Ivanhoe, his responsibilities included managing the company’s network of sales agents as well as serving as CFO and managing regulatory compliance.

Bill holds a BS in Biochemistry from Manhattan College and a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from Cornell University. He has served as President of the Commercial Development and Marketing Association and is a past chair of the Philadelphia Section of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Joseph Priestly Society of the Science History Institute and is also the Program Chair for the group. Bill received the NLGI Clarence E. Earle Memorial Award for Meritorious Service in 2015. Bill is a member of STLE, ACS, AIChE, AAAS and The Unami Group is a corporate member of NLGI. He is a member of Rotary International and an active volunteer and former Board Member for Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.

Rebecca Tuszynski leads The Unami Group’s technical writing and editing practice. She has over 20 years experience as a free-lance writer and editor specializing in documenting user guides and operating procedures. Her technical and industrial experience allows her to understand the technology being documented and approach it from the user’s point of view. Becky will ask probing questions to ensure that the finished document meets the needs of both the client and user.

Becky holds a BS in Chemistry from Lafayette College and a Masters of Engineering in Material Science from Cornell University and has industrial research experience with Riegel Paper and Bethlehem Steel.
